Panchi Utsav, an inter-school annual event organized by St. Peter’s School in Panchgani was on 20th September, 2019. It is a platform for all students to showcase their inner talents. This year students from eleven schools participated in five different categories viz Performing Art, Literary Art, Fine Art, Junior Chef & Tele-games.

The event began at 8 am with the welcoming and felicitation of the Hon’ble Chief Guest Reverend Daniel Raj, the presbyter in charge of St. Peter’s Church, Panchgani, followed by the reading of the Bible and the prayer. Thereafter, the participants of various categories began the competition at different venues in the school starting at 9:30 am.

Performing Art consisted of duet and group singing both in English and Hindi where students from classes 4 to 10 participated, Fancy dress competition depicting the ban of plastic and conservation of our planet Earth, in which the little masters from classes four and five took part & last but not the least dance competition which proved to be the most entertaining for the audience.

On the other side, the quiz competition was conducted by Literary Arts in which students’ IQ and General knowledge were tested by our dear Principal, Dr. Wilfred Noronha and Senior Supervisor Mr. Vijay Kale.

In the third category Fine Arts, students exhibited their talents in Glass Painting, Face Painting, Rangoli and Painting without a brush. The students came out with a fascinating colour combination and it was an eye-catcher.

In the Junior Chefs, we had students from under 14 age category who displayed their culinary talents by preparing sandwiches and potato-based snacks.

Last but not the least Tele-games were conducted in two sessions, the first session in the school common room and the second in the Assembly hall. All these games consisted of innovative ideas with several simple but tricky and challenging tasks, related to the strength and endurance of the team. Participants of each team had to coordinate with each other & accomplish the tasks. It was indeed a fun riot.

All participants enjoyed the program to their fullest. The atmosphere was full of excitement & enthusiasm, and then it was the time to appreciate and reward the witness, for which everyone was waiting eagerly. Our Chief Guest and Principal announced the winning team & gave the trophies and certificates to the winners & encouraged the participants who took part & made the whole event a grand success.

The second place for the best team was bagged by Shalom International School, Panchgani, and St. Peter’s School & Jr. College was awarded the title of Best Team of Panchi Utsav 2019-2020.
